Synthetic fiber mix of Danline and Polyester yarn.
Polyester is a sinking fiber with density of 1.38, while Danline is a buoyant fiber with a density of 0.91. The combination results in a slightly negatively buoyant rope with a density of approximately 1,1, offering an excellent balance of tensile strength and abrasion resistance. We use Silver especially in our longline ropes and end ropes.
Our twisting department combines Danline and Polyester fiber to produce our renowned Silver yarn. By combining the properties of these two materials, Silver delivers excellent performance across a wide range of applications compared with either material used on its own. Silver rope is often impregnated with either tar or poly based impregnation.
