Nylon is a very strong and elastic fiber. Nylonfiber has good resistance to ultraviolet(UV) rays.
When released from tension, Nylon will in most cases return to its original length. This property allows Nylon to withstand sudden overloads better than other fibers. With a specific weight of 1,14, Nylon is heavier than water and therefore sinks.
