Polyester/Terylene har god motstand mot ultrafiolette stråler og brukes derfor ofte i tau som utsettes for mye sollys.
Materialet har høy stabilitet og lav elastisitet, noe som gjør det svært godt egnet til bruk i fiskerisektoren, for eksempel i nøter.
Med en egenvekt på 1,38 er dette det tyngste materialet blant fibrene som brukes i vår produksjon. Det leveres både naturell hvit og tjæret. Elastisiteten er omtrent 20%.
